Grand Opening of Repco Altona, Saturday 11th October 2014
It was another great event at the Repco Altona Store. The event was attended by about 30-40 members throughout the day with their good looking cars. The BBQ was ran by Brett, Tony and Jeff (thanks guys for your commitment and input!), there was a popcorn machine, and a bouncy castle which was enjoyed by the kids. A good variety of cars were on show including some of the favourites including the Scoobie Doo mobile, the police car, and Starod. There were plenty of other cars to look at, and everyone enjoyed the chats. Again we had prizes for best car, best rims and for just being there! Congratulations to the prize winners including Ian (again!), Jeff and Mark. Well done guys. There was also a free car wash service by Repco/Karcher. We also had a representative from Aussie Car Photography who is able to make some seriously cool photos out of taking pictures of your car. If you want a poster of your car you can message Aussie Car Photography at their facebook site. Once again thanks to Repco for hosting our event. We had lots of fun, and really appreciate it.
Hanging Rock Cruise, 21st September 2014
In September, we had a nice cruise from the proposed diner in Gisborne South, to Hanging Rock, at Mount Macedon. The day was another great opportunity for members to get their cool cars out, meet, chit-chat about cars, and then go for a little cruise down the road. Like usual the day was attended by about 30-40 members and some cool cars. It was all a little bit of fun, and see the photos of the event here.
Roadhouse Cafe, Gisborne South August 2014
In August, we had another club meeting at our proposed roadhouse/diner/cafe. We had a wonderful turnout, with about 100 members joining us for the day. Like always it was fun to talk with other like minded car people, look at some very cool, interesting and different cars, and we even had a birthday cake for the President's son. Sausages were supplied by Mario's & Josie's Meats in Pascoe Vale, and Pat the Vice President was the cook for the day (thanks Pat!). It was great to see members, their partners and some kids join us for the day, and we look forward to our next event to be held in September 2014.
Roadhouse in Gisborne April 2014
In April we had a sausage sizzle to celebrate the purchase of our new Route 66 Custom Car and Bike Roadhouse. The event was attended by a small yet passionate (about cars) group of members. The club is hoping to create this old derelict building into a diner for club members and the public, but there are many challenges to overcome to achieve this. See the photos below of the event, including some very cool cars (of course).
Show and Shine at Repco Watergardens 22nd February 2014
We all had fun at Repco Watergardens who sponsored the event. The event was attended by about 30-40 members, their family and friends. There was a jumping castle, sausage sizzle by Melton Calisthenics Club and prizes for best cars. Everyone had fun, and it was good to interact and meet with the members of the club. We hope to have a similar event in three months time at Repco (May/June), so hope to see more member's cars attend then. The event was a great opportunity to further develop our car club community, and show off our cars. We really appreciate the support of Repco Watergardens and thank them. See some of the photos from the event below. The President.
Northside Crew Show and Shine 2nd February 2014
On the 2nd February 2014 John Amenta the President, Pat Caruso the Vice President and Peter Bondin the Treasurer showed their cars and bikes at the Northside Crew Show and Shine! We had a small merchandise stall, and some members came along to say hi. There were some great cars on show including some Route 66 members cars. See some photos from the event below. The President.
