For further information on the scheme you may wish to read the question and answer sheet prepared by the The Association of Motoring Clubs. This has some helpful information on what can be registered, and the use of these vehicles, for example you can not use Club Permit Vehicles 'for hire' or 'to transport goods or merchandise for sale'.
Permit Renewals
VicRoads requires that the Route 66 Custom Car and Bike Club Australia's authorised signature is entered on the permit renewal notice. Therefore, your VCPS renewal should be sent to the president. Enclose with it a stamped envelope addressed to VicRoads, along with a cheque/money order for the VCPS fee. John will sign on behalf of Route 66 Custom Car and Bike Club and then forward the permit renewal on to VicRoads. The form also requires your signature, so be sure to sign it as the permit holder as well.
If you allow your Route 66 Custom Car and Bike Club Australia membership to lapse, you will then be driving an unregistered vehicle. Route 66 is required to notify VicRoads of anyone with an Route 66 Permit vehicle who becomes unfinancial. Therefore, it is important that you pay your membership fees, or your vehicle becomes unregistered, that is, it is illegal to operate on the roads.
We also specialize in providing club registration for trucks, caravans and trailers. According to Vic Roads rules, as long as these are more then 25 years old and are in roadworthy condition they can also be put onto club reg!
